Rihanna, Cardi B criticize Trump over ‘racist’ shooting

TTO – Two of the most prominent black artists in the music entertainment industry have just reacted harshly to the series of terrorist attacks that occurred in the United States on August 3.

Billboard reported that Rihanna posted on Instagram, which has more than 70 million followers, harsh comments, along with a message of indifference from Donald Trump in response to the heavy casualties from two shootings that took place in Ohio and Texas.

Rihanna wrote: “Donald, you spelled the word terrorism wrong! Your country just witnessed two consecutive attacks that killed more than 30 innocent people. They took place just a few days after the attack in California, where the attacker legally bought a rifle (AK-47), then drove to a food festival in Cali to attack, killing 6 people, including a boy.

Imagine a world where buying an AK-47 is easier than getting a visa! Imagine a world where they build a wall to keep terrorists in America! I send my prayers and condolences to the families of the victims in Texas, California and Ohio! No one deserves to die like that!”.

Rihanna’s share received nearly 3 million approvals from fans. A while ago, Rolling Stone revealed that Rihanna had banned the president from using her music in election campaigns. Most black artists like Rihanna or Pharrell Williams have long stood against Mr. Trump.

Most recently, Cardi B – one of the female rappers who made a historic mark on the Billboard chart – also spoke out on Twitter: “We have read enough information like this! Both shooters are terrorists follow white supremacist ideology and intend to kill minorities. Lawmakers always try to take action, but what will they do to control racist terrorists? ?”.

Cardi B also reacted harshly to the mixed comments, writing: “I don’t worry about money, because this is my country and I’m really tired. I guess you’re a conservative, you Who you support is your right, but you cannot ignore the reality of a racial war that will certainly happen in this country…”.

The 2018 Grammy Award winner has always been opposed to Mr. Trump, as evidenced by the fact that from 2016 until now she is willing to disagree with Mr. Trump’s laws. On Rolling Stone last year, Cardi B did not hesitate to say that it was Mr. Trump who started the civil war between black and white people.

Cardi B also called on her fans, through this bloody incident, to abandon the Republican Party to vote for the Democratic Party next year 2020. She wrote: “The Republican Party, they are afraid of Mr. Trump just because of him.” can cause them to lose their position. The Democrats do not!”.

In addition to the voices of black female stars, male singer and musician John Legend angrily said Trump was the inspiration for the murderers, per Variety: “This country has suffered too many similar stories of casualties, and Leaders need to do one thing immediately, which is to urgently bring out the weapons and reduce the evil consciousness of white nationalism…

When we condemn the racist “venom” coming from the President’s mouth and point out the bigotry in his policies, it is no longer an academic question, it is not a political game, it is talk about life and death. Mr. Trump regularly inspires murderers, he is part of the problem!”.

Many white artists also immediately shared the message to stop the widespread and permissive use of weapons in America. From famous film producer Reese Witherspoon to stars like Chris Evan, Julianne Moore… even though they did not specifically name Trump, they still secretly protected people of color and safety in their country.

In less than a month, America has suffered loss. Opening on July 20, a man carrying a gun shot into the crowd at a food festival in Gilroy, California. On the afternoon of August 3, a shooting occurred at a Walmart supermarket in El Paso, Texas. 13 hours after the shooting in El Paso, a similar incident happened in Ohio. About 40 people have died as a result of these three continuing shootings.
