YG Entertainment does not interfere with Blackpink’s personal contract
Specifically, YG Entertainment’s announcement is as follows:
“Hello, this is YG Entertainment.
Recently, YG renewed the contract with Blackpink for their group activities and currently, we agree not to sign individual contracts.
YG Entertainment will do our best to support Blackpink’s activities and we will cheer for the members’ individual activities with warm hearts.
Thus, according to this announcement, YG company will only be in charge of Blackpink’s group activities and will not interfere with the 4 members’ solo activities in the future.
In fact, this announcement was not too surprising to the media and the public. Because all four members have their own orientation.
Before YG’s announcement was announced, Jennie personally confirmed that she had launched a new brand called OA (ODD ATELIER) for her solo activities outside of Blackpink.
This is said to be a move to prove that she did not sign a personal contract with her old company. The remaining three members, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo, have no information about moving companies or establishing their own labels.
However, Jisoo is expected to step up her role as an actress in 2024. Because Jisoo has confirmed her participation in a zombie movie called Influenza. Jisoo will star alongside actor Park Jung Min in this project.
Meanwhile, Lisa is preparing to perform at the Gala des Pièces Jaunes charity concert, scheduled to take place at Accor Arena (France).
As for Rosé, she recently released Season’s greetings 2024 for fans. And currently, Rosé’s plans for her new solo journey have not been revealed.
