Colorful tie-dye nails? Rainbow tie-dye nails? Colorful watercolor nails? Rainbow watercolor nails? Rainbow tie-dye watercolor nails? I had NO idea what to call these other than they are the ULTIMATE Summer nails!

Colorful Tie Dye Nails

I’m the queen of a colorful Summer manicure (peep my Summer nails round up), but this might be my favorite very colorful mani I’ve ever gotten! It mixes all of my favorite manicures of Summers past together and I absolutely love how it turned out!

We used similar rainbow colors as this rainbow tie-dye manicure. It’s the same watercolor technique as these pink and green marble nails and these ocean blue marble nails! For a colorful manicure with literally every color of the rainbow though, the watercolor marble effect muted the neon colors slightly and made them not as shocking and quite wearable.

Colorful tie dye nails are created by swirling dots of gel polish (or regular nail polish) on an acrylic block. This is done until the desired marble effect is created. Then, using a nail art brush to essentially pick up the design and paint it on your nail. You repeat the process for all the different colors, just make sure to clean off your brush every time and that colors you don’t want marbled together don’t touch on your acrylic palette.

This is definitely more of a trust the process nail design, but the end result is absolutely worth it, don’t you think?

This was a Summer manicure for me and they were perfect July nails and complimented my bright, colorful summer wardrobe, but it would also be a great Easter manicure!
