The new season is quickly approaching, and as much as I love classic autumn nail colours, this year, I’m ready to have some fun with my manicures. That’s right, I’m talking about nail art ideas. I’ve always been one to shy away from more exciting nail designs, opting instead for classic black and deep red colours throughout the colder seasons, but as September gets closer, I feel inspired to switch things up.

If you’ve read our autumn shopping guide, then you’ll know that metallics are going to be big this season, and this goes for nails too. I’ve been seeing these silver-and-gold stud designs all over my Instagram feed, and I love how minimal this trend can be. For that stylish, chic look, opt for a subtle approach, like adding metallic studs to one or two nails or trying this cool French-tip nail art.

There’s something so stunning about a chrome mani. I’ve been seeing this trend slowly creep back onto my Instagram feed, and I’m not mad about it. In fact, the hashtag #chromenails currently has a huge 1.1 billion views on TikTok and counting. I personally love pale pink and milky white designs, as they still have that fun, shiny finish without clashing with your outfit.
