Katie Price appears thrilled with her new face as she recovers from her sixth facelift – but her former plastic surgeon hasn’t been so quick to celebrate.
Dr Jeya Prakash gave Katie her first two boob jobs when she first shot to fame under her glamour model persona Jordan. To date, the mum of five has had 17 augmentations on her famous breasts and shows no sign that she’ll stop tweaking her body anytime soon.
Speaking recently with the Mirror, London-based Dr Prakash spoke of his fears over Katie’s love of plastic surgery, and revealed that he actually turned her away from his office in 2022 when she asked for a facelift.

Dr Prakash, who has known Katie since 1996, revealed: “I said she doesn’t need a facelift. Then she went to other places where people didn’t look after her health, they looked after her image. Health is very important.”
The medical professional has also expressed concerns over comments made by Katie following her most recent op, with the media personality admitting she was ‘struggling to see’ and ‘feeling sore’. According to Dr Prakash, blurred vision is a sign that something isn’t right. He explained: “That’s wrong because the muscles that move the eyelid should not be disturbed.”

Although facelifts aren’t a forever fix, Dr Prakash recommends leaving 15 years between each one – a rule Katie hasn’t adhered to. He continued: “I have one patient, she’s 80 years old and she’s had three facelifts. The first one I did when she was 50. The second one I did when she was 65, then when she was 80 – three months ago. She is fit and healthy. The health of the patient is the most important thing. Ideally, a patient would spread out their lifts 15 years apart to give their body the chance to recover and heal.”
With patient welfare in mind, Dr Prakash makes sure to give out mental health questionnaires to those he treats, and also conducts evaluations. Unfortunately, such protective measures aren’t always taken in Turkey, which has become a popular destination for those seeking surgical enhancements. Dr Prakash said: “Katie is addicted to having so many surgeries, but I am not blaming her. I am blaming the surgeons that keep on doing it.”

Meanwhile, back in March, Katie offered her own perspective on why she gets surgery, opening up candidly about her personal insecurities during an episode of Radio 4’s Women’s Hour. Katie shared: “I don’t have surgery to look younger. I don’t know what it is, but I definitely have a relationship with the surgery, I think, about not feeling probably good enough, or needy, or not very pretty.”
