Tom Cruise is ‘flattered’ that Irina Shayk has placed him at the top of her list of potential new boyfriends – but dating the Hollywood star may be a mission too impossible for the supermodel, with insiders revealing he has no plans to date after splitting from his ex.
Cruise, 61, reportedly landed on Russian bombshell Shayk’s list of suitors following her on-off, six-month fling with seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady.
But while charmed by her apparent interest in him, an insider told DailyMail.com that Cruise is focusing his attention on movie making and is taking a much-needed break from dating after his two-month fling with Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova ended in February.
‘Tom is flattered that someone as beautiful as Irina would consider him relationship material – but as much as he is flattered, Tom’s first love is making movies, and that is going to take up most of his time,’ they said.

‘Whoever he does eventually get involved with will have to deal with that.
‘Would he ever meet Irina and see if sparks were to fly? Anything is possible, but Tom and Irina ever dating would lean towards the impossible.’
DailyMail.com has contacted reps for Cruise and Shayk for comment.
Last week, it was reported that Shayk had taken a shining to Cruise, with an insider telling Page Six: ‘Irina is looking in Europe and in the USA.
‘She is shopping, but her dating pool is a tiny group of people. She needs famous, good looking and money. How many of those are there? Five, 10?’
The model’s last high-profile relationship was with retired NFL quarterback Brady, 46, whom she dated on-and-off for six months.
Shayk was last pictured with the sportsman at French restaurant Brasserie Fouquet’s New York in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood on January 15.
‘If Tom Brady had more time for love, he would be all about it and would likely still be dating Irina,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively after their first split in October.
‘He really thinks she is great.

‘But Tom is keeping himself busy with his businesses, being a part of the sports teams he owns, getting ready for his commentating job next year, and being a father. It is busy being Tom Brady, for all that he can do, he can’t make days last 36 hours.’
They continued: ‘Everything he does, he wants to give it 110 per cent, he knew he wasn’t able to give his full attention and time to Irina and she is such a good person, that he didn’t want her to feel less than in his world.
‘Maybe they will find each other in the future, but right now, it is easier for them to be friends.’
Shayk and Brady were first spotted canoodling in public in July last year after meeting at the Sardinian nuptials of billionaire art heir Joe Nahmad and model Madison Headrick two months prior on May 28.
Aside from his many business ventures, Brady also has his hands full co-parenting his son Jack, 16, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, and children Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
Shayk shares 50-50 joint legal and physical custody of seven-year-old daughter Lea with ex-fiancé Bradley Cooper, 49, and they employ no nannies.
The Maestro star – who has been dating 29-year-old IMG Model Gigi Hadid since last October – ended his four-year relationship with the Vogue Italia cover girl in 2019.

Meanwhile, Cruise split from his Russian socialite girlfriend, Khayrova, in February, just days after meeting her kids.
The Top Gun actor reportedly met Khayrova, who is the ex-wife of oligarch Dimitry Tsvetkov, last December during a party in Mayfair, where they were seen getting close.
Two months later, it was said that Cruise had ‘cooled off the romance,’ but wanted to remain friends because they live in the same apartment block in London.
‘To end things on a bad note would have been awkward if they’d bumped into each other in the lift,’ a source told The Sun at the time.
‘There are no hard feelings between them and for Tom, their relationship simply ran its course.’
Cruise was previously married to Katie Holmes, 45, and the pair share a daughter Suri, 18.
Katie filed for divorce in 2012, landing full custody of daughter Suri.
More recently in 2020 he was rumored to be dating his Mission Impossible costar, British actress Hayley Atwell, 41, with whom he reportedly ‘hit it off from day one.’
She is now engaged to music producer Ned Wolfgang Kelly.
Cruise recently returned to the UK to film the eighth installment of Mission Impossible and was spotted shooting in the heart of Westminster.
The untitled film, which will likely be called Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, is scheduled to come out May 23, 2025, after Dead Reckoning Part One was released in July last year.
MI:8 was supposed to hit cinemas this summer, but production had already been delayed due to the Hollywood writers’ strike.
Production on the eighth film had originally halted so that the cast could promote Part One, and then the strike began causing further delays.
The Mission: Impossible film series began in 1996 and is based on the 1966 television series of the same name.
As well as starring Cruise, the eighth instalment will also see the return of Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Hayley, Pom Klementieff and Vanessa Kirby.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One underperformed at the box office compared to the previous films in the franchise, despite Cruise’s attempts to extend its run.
