YG Entertainment is set to expand the digital footprint of BLACKPINK, offering fans around the globe an exciting new experience with digital collectibles. According to the entertainment company, BLACKPINK will unveil their first digital collectibles through VeVe, the world’s largest premium IP-based digital collectible platform, starting from May 22 to May 26 on VeVe’s music IP category, VeVeVibes.
The BLACKPINK digital collectibles will feature a range of designs from 3D figures of each member themed around “Pink Venom” to concert stages and the iconic lightstick. This initiative allows fans to go beyond just listening to BLACKPINK’s music; they can also collect and share content in an augmented reality (AR) environment, making this a unique and anticipated release.
Fans will be able to view various digital contents of BLACKPINK through the VeVe platform, as well as exhibit or sell their own collectibles. The digital collectibles will be available for purchase to users who have completed pre-registration on the VeVe official site.
To celebrate the launch of BLACKPINK’s first digital collectibles, a special event will be held during ‘BLACKPINK Week’ from May 22 to May 26. New registrants and collectors on VeVe during this period will receive various benefits and gifts, including signed BLACKPINK albums.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK successfully completed their largest-ever K-pop girl group world tour last year, “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] FINALE IN SEOUL,” covering 34 cities and 66 performances. They also made history as the first Asian artists to headline major festivals such as Coachella in the USA (attended by 250,000 people over two days) and Hyde Park in the UK (65,000 attendees), proving their world-class status with a total audience of over 2.115 million music fans.
