FENTY X RIHANNA: When two icons come back together
In September 2015, the first pair of Creeper was released, marking the collaboration between PUMA and FENTY (Rihanna’s personal brand). The design is inspired by PUMA’s iconic Suede pair with a hard rubber “Creeper” outsole that brings the brand closer to the fashion-loving streetwear community. Notably, the previous version was honored by Footwear News as the 2016 Shoe of the Year.
In early December, Rihanna and PUMA officially launched the new collection FENTY X PUMA Creeper Phatty. The collection marks the next collaborative campaign between global sports brand PUMA and world famous star Rihanna. This campaign has realized the wishes of fans over the past time when they hoped Rihanna would bring back the Fenty style with thick crepe soles.
FENTY Creeper Phatty: Bold sneaker version of 2023
Returning with the latest version, Fenty excites with its aggressive look and thick rubber sole. With suede material and PUMA’s signature “stride” details and Fenty logo embossed on the tongue, creating a different feel from the previous classic Creeper line. The sneaker’s most notable design element is the chunky brown sole underneath. Highlights with three color versions: Black, Blue and Lavender Purple create an expensive color scheme for the collection.
The Creeper Phatty collection’s designs are a great choice for the end of the year with vibrant colors and warm thick materials. Notably, this time PUMA FENTY offers a full range of versions suitable for men, women and children. This promises to be a collection that will stir up the world fashion scene in the near future, especially when the collection has the participation of global star Rihanna.
Maria Valdes, Product Manager at PUMA, added: “The original Creeper version changed the strategy for PUMA. “We knew it was time to bring it back. These shoes have global appeal and we’re sure consumers will be extremely excited for Fenty’s return. Especially this time we also create versions for the whole family.”

With successful collaborative campaigns with PUMA over the years, and most recently the Avanti collection, Rihanna continuously affirms the title “Fashion Icon” of the world music industry. With this comeback with FENTY Creeper Phatty, the female artist makes fans more excited and looking forward to it than ever.
“We took the OG Creeper from 2015 and made it bigger and bolder,” Rihanna shared about FENTY’s return. When coming up with the design idea for “Creeper Phatty”, we wanted to improve the previously popular “OG Creeper” but this time with a more classic design.”
Most recently, supermodel Minh Tu just posted pictures showing off her body with the FENTY Creeper Phatty collection on her Instagram page. Through a series of shared photos, Minh Tu was praised for his diverse transformations and ecstatic charisma.
