You can always count on Lisa to drop some money. The BLACKPINK rapper recently spent KRW 7.5 billion (~S$8 million) on a two-storey detached mansion in one of the wealthiest areas of Seoul: Seongbuk-dong. With the K-Pop mega-group still in the midst of their record-breaking world tour – we’re talking US$200 million in revenue- this villa has probably yet to be fully furnished. However, here’s what we do know about Lisa’s new abode.

Spanning over 7,200sqft, Lisa’s new home has two upper stories and a basement. That’s loads of space for her and her army of furkids to roam about and provide us with wholesome, heartwarming content. The mansion sports a simple cappuccino finish, flanked by a gunmetal fence.
It also has a history of esteemed owners, with its previous occupant being Jang Seon Yoon, Managing Director of Hotel Lotte Co Ltd and granddaughter of Lotte Group founder Shin Kyuk Ho.

What makes Lisa’s purchase interesting is that it eschews the norm of K-Pop idols buying homes in affluent, metropolitan parts of Seoul. For instance, Jennie’s home is right smack in the middle of Hannam-dong, with cafes and restaurants within walking distance from her doorstep. Rosé takes this up to 11 with her apartment in Yongsan Prugio Summit—a building that’s located in one of Seoul’s busiest streets, thanks in part to its proximity to HYBE’s HQ.
On the other hand, Lisa’s mansion is nestled far away from the busy streets and sounds of Seoul. Instead, Lisa’s new neighbours comprise the crème de la crème of South Korea’s elite, including the ambassadors of Japan, Colombia, and Pakistan. In fact, Lisa’s home is just a few steps away from the mansion of Hyundai’s CEO, so you know security in the area is airtight.

This wouldn’t be Lisa’s first time staying in a wealthy area. Along with Jisoo, she used to live in Yongsan Harrington Square, where units tend to cost over S$2 million. Her apartment was so spacious that it even had room for a photo studio! That being said, according to netizens, one of the main reasons for Lisa’s move was allegedly due to her dogs being too big for the space she had.
Of course, given what BLACKPINK and Lisa herself are earning these days, this 26-year-old superstar can pretty much afford to stay wherever she likes. In Jisoo’s latest vlog, Lisa was seen using a Hyundai The Black Edition 3 credit card—a card that’s limited to just 1,000 people and has an annual fee of KRW 2.5 million.
Lisa has also reportedly been offered a staggering US$81 million by a Chinese firm to leave her agency once BLACKPINK’s contract expires late this year. Should she take up this offer, her net worth will skyrocket to an astounding US$95 million.

As it turns out, having BLACKPINK in your area is no cheap endeavour. Thankfully, with BLACKPINK heading to Singapore soon for their BORN PINK world tour, local fans hoping to catch a glimpse of these megastars won’t have to shell out millions of dollars for homes in affluent South Korean neighbourhoods.
