Summer is just around the corner, and it’s time to start thinking about your summer nail game! From chic and sophisticated white nails to minimalistic metallics and earth tones, there’s something for everyone to try out, especially during months of everlasting warm weather. Whether you prefer a simple yet elegant look or something more playful and eye-catching, I’ve got you covered with the latest nail trends for summer 2023.
If follow me on Pinterest, you know that I love discovering new trends and getting inspired by summer days. I like to keep my summer nails color classic but with a modern twist like my clothing style usually sticking to neutrals in my paint color.
Whether it’s embracing stylish shapes, daring designs, or ultra-bright colors in your nail polish; I encourage you to have FUN with these summer 2023 nail trends. Summer Nail Polish Trends
While summer offers plenty of opportunities to experiment with color one of the biggest summer nail trends is a simple look. For summer 2023 this white nail polish is such a classic nail color to match perfectly to that sun-kissed skin tone. Whether you’re going for an all-white nail look or a classic French tip, white is always a chic choice. And as always the designs below would be just as beautiful with a soft pink or muted gray or beige nail color for summer days.
Falling head over heels for this metallic trend. A swipe of metallic nail lacquer is on the rise in nail art. Adding a neutral base coat only a nail bed or white nail is understated and sophisticated. If you don’t have time to see your nail artist, go for chic at-home nail polish. This is one of my favorites.
These negative nails are another chic and timeless nail design that can be created using a variety of different colors. For a classic look, go for a nude or timeless black or white. If you don’t have time to book an appointment with your nail artist, these are great because they are easy to apply for at home. How to: Start with a base coat, then apply a piece of tape–any type of tape will do, as long as it’s not super sticky–diagonally across your nail. Then paint with your favorite color on top of this tape. After that, simply remove the tape and you are good to go!
Nothing says spring and summer days like pastel nails. They are a fun way to incorporate your pop of color without going too bright or bold into your summer manicure. I’m currently loving pastel purples, yellows, and blues for the warmer seasons. Even applying chic dots of pastels over a chic base coat creates a classic summer manicure look.
These ombre nails are perfect if you are looking for something neutral but still fun for summer. This technique is a great one to do at home if you don’t have time to see your nail artist. You can achieve this nail look with any neutral summer shades from hot pink, to classic white, to green nails, and more. However, I’m absolutely loving this color combo with such a soft nail polish palette in the nudes and roses.
A desert tone nail polish will take you from dawn to dusk, in the sand or city. Here is my favorite NUDE color. The floral nail design is also a great way to mix neutrals and the summer nail trend. French Tip nail designs represent some of the most classy nail art styles. This manicure has become one of the most popular nail polish shades among fashionable. This pink is my favorite on-trend nail color right now. Top it with a matte top coat to create this chic look. If you’re looking for something for a brighter summer pop of color, go for hot pink, orange, or green nails.
A black and white nail look is always classic, elegant, and chic all year long. Here I’m showing a modern twist to these nail colors. From a classic black French tip look to a minimal black and white design over a base coat, or an all-over nail color, you can never go wrong with a chic black and white summer manicure.
Just Be Yourself
Be bold, be you, and most importantly, just have FUN! Nails are all about expressing your own personal style. Remember, that when choosing a nail color you should choose a color that makes you feel not only chic and stylish, but yourself!
